Defender front door lock assembly do I go genuine or aftermarket ?

Anyone??

That is the exact thing I bought. The problem I had was with the lock barrel and not the latch itself, so I didn't notice much change after changing it Although it is a lot smoother now

Just bought another Landy and all the locks were out of wack, doors not closing, not locking etc.

I adjusted all of them, hit them with some WD40 and then with some lithium grease in the can and they are as smooth as butter and all work inside out.

I would spray the others and lube them, they are forgiving it seems.

I put a britpart one in the passenger door last august for £15ish, a right fiddly little job, the doors now held shut with zip ties :doh:

I'm putting a real one this weekend £78. I might ask the wife to help as it's Valentines Day
