Hi all,

P38 passed it's MOT today with no advisories :) Yey!

Anyway got me thinking about the other things and I don't seem to have the emergency key code in the book.

How does one go about getting the emergency key code?

2.5d 1997.

Thanks all.

EKA should be free from dealer, V5 + id needed:)

I just phoned my local dealer up and they gave it me over the phone. The stereo code too!

Just needed to give them the reg number.

I did phone the dealership that originally supplied the vehicle so that May have helped. But I'd try phoning first.

That's crazy isn't it.:confused::eek:

When I bought my car, it came with the sales literature and the business card of the salesman from Guy Salmon that sold it.

When I phoned them up I did tell them I'd just bought second hand and named the guy on the business card that originally sold the car.

The guy on the other end of the phone remembered him, and said the EKA was the most important thing to know about a P38 so he gave it to me.

So to be fair to Guy Salmon (now a Lookers dealership) I did have a personal name from one of his sales staff of 10 years ago so he probably thought I wasn't a complete random.
