dont do this,sedimentor

kept puting off sorting fuel sedimentor out(200 disco)as bolts u/s, result broke down , had to blow all fuel lines through, drain tank & clean. Right pain in arse especialy as it was avoidable.
moral being do it today not tommorow cos tommorow never comes!!!!!!:doh:

Which bolt was u/s? The best way is to remove the bowl via the 11mm bolt at the top of the sedimentor rather than undoing the plastic drain plug at the bottom of the bowl.

That one rounded, and pipe conectors siezed! sedimentor bypassed for now . going to look for a glass bowl type to put under bonnet

Oh dear! Sounds like you have been having fun I've wondered about a glass one too, much easier to clean out if it's under the bonnet. Good luck.

i keep saying i'l do mine but never do, think id better do it, done everything else on motor so might as well do that as its free

did mine a couple of weeks ago and it was full of crap and water.

Mine had a bit of sludge, not too much.

Why dont modern diesels have these?? They run on the same fuel.

they just change the filter more often, they sell more filters that way
