That are only two of the sooo many pluspoints of the Freelander.......

Top motor, very capable and underestimated.

Ignore the scaremongering: properly maintained its as reliable as anything else out there.
Apart from the K-Series ones. They are pretty poo to be honest.

No, just swapped my 2007 SE, faultless 14000 miles, for a new HSE with all the 'toys', delivery in days, can't wait, all the car you will ever need, as last winter and a continental tour this summer proved.

Had an Astra before I bought the TD4 53 plate and I love getting into it and going for a drive. Ace and don't think I would go back to driving a normal car again.
Never let me down to date and was brilliant in the snow and having tuning box had made it quicker in normal conditions.

Got a RR also which is never out of the garage...£££££ ....been in five times since we got it in Jan cheapist bill £300. Freelander has never been like that. Great little car!!!

since i had my accident and ended up with nuts and bolts in my back i thought i would never drive again.

thanks to the superb auto box , light steering and great seat height the freelander has allowed me to remain independant or was that incontinent

Trading in my 03 Td4 for an FL2 tomorrow.

I bought my 05 TD4 at auction and was a bit scared that i was a bit stupid. Had it 12 months and love it. I've had to fit a tuning box from rover ron and no 3 injector needs replacing but i have done really loads of miles. last winter was a dream in it and muddy fields this summer camping proved no problem. I'd defo go another.

i like my freelander. but i really wanted a disco.

YES

I want all the money back I paid for it when new, including interest.

I want my free time back and all the hours I spent modifying/repairing it.

I want compensation for all the crappy design faults



Despite these regrets; its a keeper! (or is that kipper!)

have a 51 TD4 don'yt regret buying it but never had another car that takes so much looking after ,but still wouldn't get anything else unless a range rover TDV6 came along for about £5k then we'd see but until then sticking with the freelander

a great motor the td4 version wiff all the toys. . . . .

Whish there were more stuff available for it.....

Had my 02 TD4 Auto ES 4 weeks. Disregarding the self inflicted gearbox sort out, I'm well impressed with it. Bought cheap, like a good £1250 under book price, but well aware that it needed a few things sorting, which , so far is proving easy and relatively cheap to put right. Doing the VCU now before any expensive bangs, crankcase filter mod done, full 60+72k service done, egr and an intermittent clonk on osr suspension still to sort. No cosmetic issues inside or out, looks and smells new, but I'm no bodywork or trimming expert, but mechanicals I can do and have the facilities at the workplace to make it a lot easier.

The only regret would be if you'd bought a pup, and that would apply to any car.

I bought mine new, in good faith that it was going to be a decent motor,

Most of all; I regret the money I paid plus interest, but then I think of all the money I saved with my own servicing, repairing and improving (modifying)
