Do people believe the prices on ebay

I do think shill bidding is incredibly common.

Looking for vehicles then go and do the leg work around the dealers and auctions for P/X trade ins.

£180 for a CB radio in a disco. I think i'd keep it.

In my recent experience. eBay is for the messers and sale of ****.

I sold a Discovery on Auto Trader and was inundated with calls and all we're nice people and were serious.

Auto Trader for me from now on

blokes an idiot, says he used it for fishing, he would have been much better with a rod or a net

as for ebay, so strange things go on for sure, recently sold a second hand control panel for more than the cost of a new one.

think a lot of peeps regard ebay as gospel, so don't check any other prices elsewhere, or maybe just lazy.

I agree, used laptops and mobile phones sometimes sell for more than brand new ones on eBay.
Also, £50 for an EGR blank?!

on the other hand, ebay does provide some very cheap armchair deals.
I`ve bought some stuff I wanted (not cars)
very competivly priced, and I dont need to go find then in town stores either.
my daughter has used my account for her jewlary,
like this stuff
Free shipping. Wholesale fashion jewelry 925silver bracelets + box | eBay
99p post free from china ???
come on, even if its just plated silver stuff, its girls fashion, use it once or twice and throw it away at that price.....

There are ways to protect yourself as a buyer or seller on ebay, I think you get a cross section of society on there, it depends a lot on what the item is too though.

I auctioned a boat on there a couple of years ago on a no reserve auction, I had to re-auction it 7 times before it finally went, I got more in non refundable deposits than I wanted for the boat

I've got an 06 Shogun on there now, classified ad, I made the mistake of setting a price so it would sell, and then allowing people to make an offer too, I've had tons of stupid offers, 20 odd emails to reply to  seems a couple of genuine people too though, just a matter of sorting the wheat from the chaff. Where else can you get as much exposure for £14.99?

Seems the ad in the OP has hooked someone, there's a bid for £2600
