I have oil leaking from the rear of the engine, drivers side. I replaced injector seals and washers a few weeks ago and re torqued them last week, there is no sign of any oil leakage from the rocker gasket or the plastic plug at the rear of the engine. Are there any other places oil could be comming from or is this a head gasket job ?
Thanks

Have a check of the FPR as stchris says. it will look like oil due to the diesel collecting dirt on the way down but my money is on the FPR. If you wipe the diaphragm dry then run the engine you will probably be able to see the leak. Most leak at the diaphragm when failing.

Thanks for the replies - I changed the FPR about 3 months ago, the leak from that was differant to the current visual problem. Does not smell like diesel or feel like it and there is a different stain on my well used piece of cardboard !

hi Guys
i have an oil leak on the drivers side also
i was thinking it was todo with the oil pump on the front of the altenator?
i have not had chance to look at the FPR yet,
the question i would like to ask is my Altenator has oil in it and i thought it was from the pump ? would anyone think this could be my problem also??
is the FPR anywhere near the Altenator?

Hi all

Thought I'd jump in on this one as I to seem to have the same oil/fpr leak as you are all describing
I can defo see oil or what appears to be oil on the alternator. I have also found that the knob who owned it last has done away with the ACE system but left the pump still connected to the hydraulic pipe and tie wrapped it to the f.....g engine, then jubilee clipped the hydraulic pipe to the turbo hose.
Should I remove it or leave it?
