Thats a shame because the HID conversion is far safer than the standard lights on a Disco 2. Although I have a self leveling suspension on my ES I also have an adjustment for the lights on my dash board

Just to clarify on the law regarding HID kits and Xenon headlights...

There are two requirements for any vehicle being fitted with either the HID retrofit kit, or Xenon headlight units and they are:

1. Self Levelling
2. Headlamp Washers

Headlamp washers are required due to the dazzling effect that can occurthrough dirt and road grime on the headlamp lens. The dirt can displace the light beam and cause it to dazzle oncoming traffic.

The self levelling requirement is there also to prevent dazzling oncoming traffic. However there is a clause in this that large estate cars fitted with self levelling rear suspension (Merc E-Class for example) do not require the headlamp unit itself to self level. I'm not sure how the suspension in the Discovery works, but if it is indeed self levelling, then you may be able to install the HID kit legally (providing you have washers)
