What do you think evilbay item 155146134875 D4 2011 blown motor and tailgate damage, interior I would like to have eyes on, to be honest with you all if I didn't have three projects and overstretched my wallet, and it was a bit closer to me here in rural Norfolk, I would be looking at it right now with 2Kish in my pocket might be a project for someone? what do you think? keep the faith TY

Well then.. clearly you'd need to see it, and the actual damage to the tailgate - if it is just the glass, then crack on..

The engine is an issue, obvs, but why doesn't the "new" one run ? ... proper diag required..

I'd also be concerned about the wheels - IIRC, some FFRR wheels are not rated for the weight of the D4, so  - hopefully these particular ones are:)..

It's not for me in any way shape or form - I'd rather deal with rot than electronics - I tend to find that bits of steel can be persuaded to fit and work within my skill set somewhat easier than LR electronics :D:D ... well that and I have no interest in "infotainment" :p

Yes, would need eyes on from pics looks like bolt on repair tail gate. I prefer engine failures (with everything else spot on for age) and tend to price as a rebuilt or good replacement motor, milage not so important with a blown motor labour is just my time people don't want a D3 or D4 with crank issues I think it's just me LOL TY

Towbar looks very manky, so does what you can see where the capping is removed. What's the rest of the underside like?
If it powers up then need to see what codes are stored.

Yes, not been loved difficult to check under but not impossible in my limited experience no one wants you to plug in until you've paid, especially garages, I suspect this has a major mechanical issue, but you do get lucky I would be looking for signs that the motor has actually been changed does the crank turn? Has it been covered or has water got in. Another big one is how long has it stood (which goes back to it looking manky) can get a rough idea on mot check within a year. would like it myself to be honest If as described I would most likely make an offer sometimes, I just go on gut feeling after an eyes on TY
