Hi,

Trying to find a definitive list of when the front seat runners on the Disco 1 actually changed. I've done the usual search through the forums and seen some general cases... i.e. 3 door vs 5 door models different... early 300tdi not same as later 300 etc...

Looking for some new seats at the moment and curious exactly when the changes were made. If anyone could help it would be appreciated. I'm running a late (97) disco and curious what seats I can use - ideally without modification...

Thanks

Matt

Seats on early 300s are the same as 200s, they changed on MY96. The way to tell difference is early seats have seat belt receiver bolted to floor, later ones are attached to seat.

My misses bought a 1996 model (built October 1995) Discovery last year. A nice vehicle, but the seats were poor, so I fitted the seats from a 1991 Range Rover. They fitted straight on, using the same fixings, both front and rear. And the seat base in the Disco looks the same as the base in a 1991 Disco we have, and to which I fitted RR seats some years ago. Having comfy seats transforms the Discovery.

[smile] Wot he said[/smile]

wot he said , plus the usual "change over period/friday afternoon syndrome" where mixed parts of old spec were used up ....may not be in the books but its been seen often enough....

...generally though , if you can find some RRC seats in decent nick for sensible money they are a favourite for a straight fir t into early spec . Late spec , find one of the many nice ES models that I have written off , hiding in a yard somewhere and grab those luvverly leathers . Not the grey though - so gloomy and soviet era :D:D
