Hi All
Just another question does anyone know if you can swap the basic CD400 radio single disc player for the six CD player in a basic D3 with no satnav .
The only reason i would want to change is the six CD model allows you to connect your phone via blue tooth to the unit but the CD 400 does not have this option ?
Be good if i could ?
Does any one know if this could be done ?

Hi

Unfortunately it’s not an easy mod, as it uses a MOST cable system, very involved I’m afraid

U can however fit an aftermarket radio with Bluetooth, but u would loose the clock on the instrument panel

Thanks gstuart
Yes i thought as much
And the steering wheel functions that i have fitted.
I think the best option would be to use a aux blue tooth unit i have seen a thread on how to fit a aux jack for the radio and that looks quite a simple thing to do ?
But then its knowing what would be the best Bluetooth kit to use so many out there just knowing which would be the best one?

Hi

Ur Very welcome , as I understand when getting a new vehicle it’s a steep learning curve, only had mine 3 x years and amazing how quickly u pick up knowledge

Think some have used the parrot Bluetooth systems , ur right , there’s so many options these days

If u do a search on the D3 forum there’s plenty of info of reviews

Ah yes, seen that aux mod, indeed doesn’t look to bad to fit

Thanks gstuart
I have got the parrot actually still in my D2 may just take it out of there and fit it in my D3 but would need to get a different connection for this radio but must admit it works well in the D2 the kit i have is the MKI9200 which allows you to use your phone and ipod also a memory card as well.
