Looks like you've tried the usual places, not sure if any of the guys on here do them either. You could always take measurements and get one folded up at a local metal fab shop.

I can't see why any where would do that unless you had a trade account. Credit card would be the only other option, or just save up before you buy it.

recon it would be hard to make ? i have a sheet metal bender but it only sode 45 and 90 degrees.

i would just buy / save up but i need mot's asap and dontget pennies for a little over a week :(

Well which ever way you do it, do it right. Dont be bodging stuff and trying to hide it from the MOT man. If your MOT is going to run out before the repairs are done, well that's just tough ****, you should have done something about it sooner. Have a look on the Discovery section, there's likely to be a thread or 2 about it there. Do you have any pics of it to see how bad it is?

mot has been out for ages, i only bought it yesterday.
ive just spent ages welding up mums disco, thats not mot'd yet wither as shees skint too :( hence, cant to the the dank of mum and dad haha.
i know what im doing, just never changed one before, dose it need to be cut apart to come out ? or if i cut it away from pillars and boot floor and unbolt from chassis will it go back in ?
im doing stuff right, no point in hiding stuff for mot. that only creates more problems for next year :)

Yep, well sounds like you got a better handle on things than your previous posts suggest :p:p:p I've not done one before and not looked in to it, have you looked in the Discovery section and done a search?

I'm in Aberdeenshire and breaking a Disco 1 with MoT. I put new track rod ends on it about 400 miles before I binned it on the ice. Basically most the bits are available from it......the only problem is if you're in a rush I'm in Egypt till the 30th

Pm me for more details :)

:5bspam: wtf???

How's it spam???

I've got it in the for sale section and I've got over 50 posts!!!! Surely if he needs road worthy bits cheap that helpful. Plus we're local to each other (once I'm back from my holiday) so we don't have to arrange £80 pallet charges for bits south of the border etc.

Ok I may admit this might be a case of my bad, I was focusing on the the x member bit and forgot he wanted other bits. This is as closer I ever get to admitting fault so take my pseudo apology and feck orf ;) :p
