Disco owner again!

Hi all, i,m back with new disco.. TD5 s . alrite its basic model, but compared to my last one gs i,ve got no airsprings to change.. no leaking sunroofs.. no aircon to re-gas.. only paid 2k and only 97000 on clock .. happy days! waiting for snow..

Any pics? What year is?

Its a 98 s plate, will add pic later, put side steps on today, got middle box replacement pipe to go on next , cheers

Please excuse my ignorence but I thought the Td5 came out in 99

By middle box replacement pipe, I assume you mean to de-cat the exhaust?
Bear in mind the MOT rules have just changed and you will have to put it back on for the MOT.
And I also thought the TD5 came out in 99.

No they came out in 98. A 98 plate won't have a cat on it so he means middle box replacement pipe, I've orderd one for mine and I've removed cat on mine coz its an 02 plate it has 1 fitted

Thanks disco2shaun , saved me a reply,, yep no cat so turbo should spin up better.. earlier?? wiv replacement pipe . they are pretty gutless below 3000 even then it doesn,t giv u much ooomph. gonna giv it good service and check maf , ecu etc.. sayin that it runs smooth and pulls ok but you have to giv it some welly! and of course rev it up like a tuning fork to pull out of junction,

i got a 135k 02 plate for 2k .... best 10 min think of me life ...shall i shant i .....to think i wore gonna buy it lol ......

Theres bargains to be had if you look hard enough, mine only had 2 owners from new 2nd being a woman, asked her if it towed ok , she said she hadn,t used towbar, and she had it 6 yrs! so i think its had an easy life, but as its 98 plate everything else is getting tired , ie central locking, window motors, but money i saved on buying i can spend on it. lol
