disco engine 300tdi

I have removed the engine from a rotten disco to put in to a lwb series which I'm building.
Today on the cylinder head I found a metal plate with
Fabricoda por International engines south America LTDA
What's going on ?

Means it was made by international engines in Brazil I think, they make the 2.8 version of the 300tdi under license. Didn't know they made the standard one though. You sure it's a standard engine? If you've managed to get a 2.8 Tgv engine thinking you were just buying a rotten disco then you've got the deal of the year

Ah that plate means its the little known "exploding engine of death", awful engine, very dangerous, you should sell it to me.......immediately......

my last 300 in the fender before it blew up had international engines on the head but the head came from a disco,so a 2.8 top end and 300 tdi bottom end
