Baring in mine that I have owned my Disco for the last 7 months, the alarm has never gone off after I've locked it, apart from if I've left a window open and the wind has blown in or the window has been down and the dog has jumped about setting it off.
Mine was parked on the drive last night with another car parked in front, at about 3 this morning the alarm set off.
I grabbed the keys and ran outside, possibly forgetting that:
A) I had got in from the pub about 4 hours previous, so my detective skills weren't up to scratch
B) I'm shortsighted and in the rush forgot to put my glasses on, this also hindered my detective skills
C) I was naked when I went to bed

Anyway, there was nothing untoward with the disco, apart from the alarm going off, no windows were open and I couldn't see any signs of damage to it either. I had left nothing on display inside it and the empty glovebox left open.
However the security light from next door was on when I got outside, so if it was anything, they could of got away through next door, which you can cut through straight to the main road.

I'm aware Discos aren't as stolen as fenders and mine isn't really modded.

Has anyone has a disco stolen recently?
How reliable are the alarms, I've never had a false alarm with it when it was locked correctly, do they have a habit of sounding for no reason?

Anyway mine was safe and I hope everyone else's was as well.

I remove my satnav holder at night and wipe off the circular mark where it's been stuck to the windscreen, just so tea leafs don't assume the actual satnav is still in it and break in.

Ah well, it's probably something of nothing, just wondering what could of set it off.

Just occasionally a really throbbing exhaust will set my alarm off on the golf, but this is a once in a full moon occurrence, and although the car might not have woken you, your alarm could of..?

7 months isn't very long to be fair.
