Hey guys, I used to get 35 mpg in and around town, ( yes I drive like a pussy!!!) but now its under 30 and I haven't changed my driving habits. Any ideas? Thanks.

Could be one of the following: car is due a service, low tyre pressures, brake(s) binding, other misc drivetrain problems.

Probably got 5000 miles before next service is due. TP seems fine, cant hear the brakes binding. Praying its not the drive train!!!! Any tell tale signs for DT problems?

Diesel/petrol? Auto/manual? MPG figures off of trip meter or real? Tyre pressures good answer, also jack each wheel in turn to check for binding brakes, with front wheels chocked jack up rear and spin rear prop to check for binding hand-brake. If petrol, (unlikely at 30mpg!) pull coupla plugs and look at colour. Should be brown. Black or white = problems.

Its a diesel manual and MPG is off the trip meter . Started to drop after I had the cambelt and fuel pump belt changed. It was done by LandRover. Just wondering if the previous owner had it chipped and the main dealer reset it when I had the cam belt done!!!

IF it was chipped any figures off the trip-meter any likely false. Use a pencil n paper or summat to keep note of fuel/milage to get an accurate figure. Would expect the dealer to tell you about anything done to engine tho`. When in dealers did they adjust h-brake .. too much?

Could be a Chinese whisper but I heard that the machine they link the disco up to changes the ECU to factory standard again automatically. All is lost apparently, but hey I'm only going on a grape vine if you know what I mean.
