Hi there,

You have all been helpful in the past, so I will try and be as descriptive as possible.

My Land Rover sounds like its got a hole in the exhaust but on close inspection there is no hole. I have replaced the turbo (different problem) and all associated gaskets. I do smell exhaust fumes from the engine bay, it hasn't lost any performance though. It sounds very gluggy, deep sound like a blowey exhaust but not.

Any ideas.........

could be the downpipe isnt pushed on all the way best way to check is look for soot on the downpipe where it meets the casting for the turbo
any blakc and the thats where the leak is

That was what was in my mind too ! I thought that maybe it got disturbed during the turbo work ....even so (it was doing it before turbo job) its well worth checking that union , and then the ends of the flexi section , if fitted .
