disco 2 dog guard

hi all
can any one help ..bought a dog guard off the bay and got caught.its only the guard and naff all else...
managed to get a fitting kit however still need the brackets(the ones that act as a hinge ) and thumb screws..

The thumbscrews are a plastic wheelnut. (f the same as D1)

I needed to rivnut mine to make all the bits fit a D1...

Same here if OP's is same as D1 Then the full kit is
1 Guard,
1 each of Left and right Mounting Brackets,
4 plastic inserts for brackets
4 rivnuts,
4 washers,
4 bolts,
2 plastic wheelnuts.

its a disco 2
have the kit stc 50231 and the basic mesh guard.
dont have the hinges or the thumb wheel mechanism.
think i have been done.
can you buy the hinges

The triangular brackets that bolt to the guard, and the thumbwheel and cylinder-headed bolt thingy, aren't available separately.


I bought my dog guard from Travall, who claim to be the OEM for Land Rover -

I can well believe that they are the OEM, as the guard and all its bits are identical to a Genuine Parts Accessory one that I've compared it to, and the instructions are identical to those in RAVE, just without the Land Rover logo.
