Well the standard battery is an 072 which is around 550CCA and 68 AH which does seem a bit marginal for the TD5 lump, albeit mine hasnt been a problem as I keep it on trickle charge in the cold weather.
In looking for a replacement the 019 seemed good at 830CCA and 95AH but whilst it would fit the terminals are the wrong way round and the cables wont reach.
After more digging it seems there is only one better battery that will fit which is the Varta G8 available at around £80 on ebay. This has the correct terminal layout and is 830CCA and 95AH, whilst it fits note that it wont go to the bottom of the battery box as there is a small ledge either side. Simple solution is to put a couple of 1" spacer blocks at the bottom of the tray (have a look at the tray and it will become clear)
