easy for you to say....went to change my blades for the MOT, couldn't get replacements from local supplier so bought some rubber repair pieces and cut them down to fit.........broke old blades taking them off (they were glued on ), fiddled for ages getting old rubber out without breaking the clips.....broke clips putting the new in .....superglued the whole fookin lot back together.........they're still there 4 months later

Fish, I don't want to worry you, but....My rear calipers looked in a similar condition to yours when I changed the brake fluid. As I tightend up one of the bleed nipples the caliper just crumbled away....
