Hay everyone,

Does any one know anything about the diesel express tuning boxes, seems ok from the description on ebay and 100% good feedback over 7000 sales.

75quid seems a good price to a 25hp increase and nearly 100flbs of torque

I don't know anything about them, but if they are suggesting figures way above what Rover Ron and his Ronbox 2a offer, which 100ftilbs sounds, then I don't believe them.

I personally went flown the remap route after using a Ronbox for 6 months.

It's 40-50 not a 100 increase 😯 dunno where I got that from think I may have crossed over and looked at the figures for the 2.2 engine in a fl2

No one got any idea at all? Not even on a volvo or something else 😀

I have one. I only used it for a week or so. It made a pretty good difference to the low end torque and pulled harder from 2000-3000rpm but I'm having problems with sensors at the moment so I have removed it for now.

Cool cheers guys it's the lower end that struggles on my wagon so that's sweet

Have you removed/cleaned the EGR valve, replaced the crankcase filter and checked all your hoses?

Mine had terrible low end torque when I got it (almost stalling all pull-off) but after doing these things it pulls very well now (without the tuning box)

Still a few extra horses is nice too!

Egr blank is on the list it's a little minging.... Other parts are fine and we're checked when I did my clutch. I think it's just the way the car is I'm used to older diesel wagons with pumps turned up and actuator mods etc etc it's the few more pony's that I'm after and better acceleration from t junctions etc etc

I did my little modifications one at a time so I could measure the difference each one made to the way it ran and the EGR was by far the most dramatic improvement especially at the low end.
Mine was pretty clogged. I think there was hardly any air getting through at low revs.

I'd recommend you do that before you spend money on a tuning kit/chip/remap.
