Looks like a pretty standard ODB type reader that's been tarted up...no?
doesnt actually show it 'working' though!!
Looks like it is for OBDII compliant vehicles after 2004. May do P38 petrol engines as do all OBDII readers but not a lot else. Possibly won't get anywhere near a P38 diesel.

get one Tony and let us know
1999-2002 on the p38 as far as I can see
From around 2001 for petrol engines and 2004 for diesel engines all cars made in Europe have to be OBDII compliant. No system on a P38 other than the petrol engine is OBDII compliant. So it will only do the engines on petrol models, but none of the systems on the P38 diesels.
Sorry for the hijack, but wammers' post may have answered my question. I tried one today and could not get ANY live data for my 2001 D2 TD5 - no air flow, coolant temp etc. etc and this particular i930 had the latest LR updates in it via iCarsoft's site.
