It will depend on how many miles you've covered as to what will need changing mate.

Every 12000 miles/12 months (every service)

oil 5w-30 or 5w-40 BMW longlife spec
oil filter
pollen filter
crankcase vent valve filter
turbo boost pressure control valve vent filter
interchange rear wheels and apply anti seize compound
check all fluid levels (gbox, tbox, diffs etc)

extra items every 24000 miles/24 months

air filter
alarm remote batteries

extra items every 36000 miles or 36 months

coolant change
brake fluid change

Evry 60000 miles or 60 months

fuel filter ( well spotted chaser)
if auto - change auto box oil Texaco N402 spec

this is a good guide to start

enjoy

Pete

Don't wait the 60,000 miles before changing the fuel filter, do it preferably annually/12,000 miles or 2 years/24,000 miles if you find it too difficult.

cheers.......I take it the rave cd has all the neccessary knowledge I need?

I don't fancy 'Haynes' much....:p

Except that the rave date is about 2003 so is pre facelift only. Apart from the fuel pump and filter differences it's still very useful.

Stick with the rave and a bit of common sense to get you past any differences between it and the later model.

Servicing wise the Freelander is pretty straight forward.

And if in doubt ask...
