Due to my ongoing cold start saga thats looking more and more terminal, and my gearbox now making a horrible warble/whine/rattle when in 5th gear, I'm looking at changing engine and box at the same time.
Mine is a 15p Defender TD5 and have the offer of a 15p rear ended 2003 disco manual.
Question is, will this be a straight swap? I'll probably keep my existing transfer box, just wondering if any difference in bell housing etc?
Also will I be able to use my existing ECU?
Looks like i best clear some of the useless crap out of my workshop to make some room.
