Hi, looking to rig up a simple switch as an immobiliser for the td5,

Any suggestions on the best wire to put a secret switch on and maybe a location within the vehicle for hiding such switch?

Can't see the point on a fancy one or alarm, end of the day if someone wants in etc they still will...

they've got an immobiliser built in, whats the year and spec of your 90?

do you have the red light on on the speedo?

Have known people wire into the stop solonoid or starter relay

I started down your train of thought and was 'counselled' to invest in a clutch claw and steering disklock instead - which i did

The more 'physical' deterrent argument made sense (to me!)

So just to recap, you are asking these here kind peoples on a PUBLIC FORUM if they can tell you where to put your SECRET SWITCH on your Landy, am I the only one seeing a flaw in that statement:confused::doh::doh::doh::doh::doh:

Lol yep... But only a suggestion!

Like station house said, it's a deterrent! If someone wants it... They will find a way

I've got a cat1 alarm and immobiliser and a disclock which i put on with steering lock on full, so at least the opportunist thief should be put off. Like has been said if 'They' REALLY want it they will have it, it doesn't matter what you do, all you can do is make it as awkward as possible ;);););)

Yorkshire, I'll do some investigating before wiring in a switch, interesting if it has built in but not enabled
