When I fitted my brand new rather expensive Decarbon steering damper to my range rover classic 2 door, I found it odd that it naturally extends all the way out like a normal suspension shock would. I thought surely this would make it steadily push the steering all the way until it hits the lock?

Sure enough, it does make the truck turn right all the time.. let go of the steering wheel in a straight line and it always just steadily veers right a bit.

And it almost has too much damping too, if you want to very quickly change direction, you just cant do it as you can only turn the steering wheel so quick as it allows you to..

Has anyone else noticed this??

Frankly I might just get a standard one again, decarbon seems to just be sh*t

Any other dampers anyone would recommend? Are the terrafirma self centering one any good?
