I just put my side lights on with side lights on the lights on the roof rack it looks ok and does not blind anybody like some of these dlr's do simples

' rhodie ' fitted some strip DRLs around part of his headlights :
https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/new-bling-fitted-after-drive-shaft-change.197733/

no idea where he bought them .. or how the adhesive has performed ..
thought about doing the same .. but worry that someday the adhesive would start to come apart
from weather or jet-washing .. or age .. even though some advertise them as weather resistant ..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
seen some others on these pages have fitted drl type leds to either side of the grill ..
e.g. the thin mid grill on the facelift models ( fl1 )
Perhaps Rhodri is still around and can let us know if they are still attached.
i had to search all his posts to find that one ..
'n looks like his last post was in august 2014 ..
was no mention of him leaving .. or selling his hippo ..
well .. as for the strip leds .. i'd probably chance these ..
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/Flexi-Day-Light-Running-Strips-NEW.html
as products ( filament bulbs and leds ) i've bought from them have all performed well
the specs do state "weather proof" ..
and if the adhesive be like the double sided stuff used for reg. plates then it should be ok
i.e. if the surface properly prepared / cleaned ..
~~~~~~~~~
i use multi-led side lamps ( with led tail lamps ) in leu of DRLs
and if more DRL illumination is needed .. i've led fog lamps .. not as bright/glaring as filament types ..
all in all .. less work for the alternator / battery ..
and .. at the moment .. i don't hardly ever drive at night .. so the heat from filament headlights
aint going to kill off the led side lamps in a hurry
~~~~~~~~~~
as for fog .. in 28 yrs living here have hardly encountered any .. well not enough to warrant fog lights
and should i encounter fog .. i could always angle the headlights at full-down position ..
as my hippo never gets loaded much on the rear ..
( as is .. i angle them down by 1 notch for 'normal' use .. unladen commercial ..
( full height only on virtually traffic free roads after dark ..
and if snow were to cover my tail lamps 'n not melt for lack of heat from the leds
i'd stop 'n clean them .. or use the filament rear fog tail lights ..
or refit the filament tail lamps ..
( depending on the situation .. have yet to encounter That much snow here ..
( or done .. or planning to do .. extended snow laden journey time ..
just adding a correction to this:
and if more DRL illumination is needed .. i've led fog lamps .. not as bright/glaring as filament types .
iv'e only viewed those led fogs from about 10ft away ..
today i rechecked them from about 100ft @ average car driver eyesight level ..
in reality they're way too bright / intense / dazzling .. for DRL use
someone once flashed their high beams at me when i had those led fog's "on"
didn't think too much of it at the time .. 'cause i were under the impression that they weren't That bright
maybe has something to do with the lens .. at a guess ..
