Update....

Fitted the new sensor and got this...

A nice dash with no lights.... But sadly was short lived...

As withing 5mins of driving round and it looked like this again

So I stripped the hub down pull sensor to inspect for dirt.. Bit of grease but nothing major and put back I. And tried again... This time the lights didnt even go off.

Only thing I did differently wtween fitting new and removing new and refitting was first time round I tightened it down tight with a spanner... Second time was by hand...

So I've been in doing research and watching videos on line.. And a few people are sayi g remove sensor from hub... Block the he and take all the rust off to bare metal... Then refit... And itll sit slightly closer and ot of time that's the issue... So before it's retest tomorrow I'll do that and see if it helps...

Spoke to my mechanic he said the codes may just need removing so he's going to do that at the retest anyway. So it should still pass the MOT.

If it comes back in after it's been wiped I'll order a new hub I think with a built in sensor.

A lot of the time sadly it IS the hub. The distance between the reluctor ring and the sensor is so critical and the hub can go without you ever being able to feel the play at the wheel as you would expect when doing the old 12-6 o'clock then 9 - 3 O'clock wiggle.
I got new hubs with sensor fitted for about £60 each and they are fine. From this lot, if memoery serves.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the link . And the advice. I'll definitely get a hub ordered. I'm taking tools to billing so if it passes the mot and I see one there I'll be fitting it there and then haha

So at 8am this morning I took out the sensor again and sanded down the are it mounts to bar to barew metal.

So much cleaner... Then I re-fitted and tightened down tight with a spanner to get it as low as it would go...

After a fair bit of driving round it is now working as it should not lights etc so looking like I cracked it at last .

Also it passed the mot retest and is heading to billing tomorrow morning. So great news all round.
