Went green laning last night in my disco 1 v8,
She started to get warm every now and again,
Checked the radiator and was suprised to find no fins left in it !
Amazing the car didnt overheat !

So, i need a new radiator, cheaper the better,
Anyone reccomend somewhere to get one ?

A genuine rad is £450,
Aftermarket £250,
I think it will be an aftermarket one !

Like Discool says get it reconditioned by someone locally, if you ring a couple of local motor-factors they will be able to point you in the right direction for someone to do it.

Just as smurphy said then you know the refitting is just the reverse of the undoing as the Haynes book would say :)

I for one couldn't handle the mis-match of connections that has been posted in the past in LR forums with patten parts some PP's may be ok but I for one don't want to find out if that's true..

Also u don't have to buy gen parts from a main dealer, indi's give a good discount.

Do you know if disco 2 3.9v8 radiator is the same as the disco 1 ?
£260 is the cheapest ive found, thats an aftermarket from a parts specialist.

They are on eBay for 15-45 quid second hand in reasonable shape.

I just upgraded to a bearmach HD rad, cost 180.

I looked on eBay and was amazed how cheap you can buy an acceptable second hand one.

Mine had a portion of fins missing, I got 25 off eBay.

Mine was getting toasty off roading hence the upgrade, but it did have a lot of mud in it also.

Regular removal and washing out is required for optimum performance!!

I cant find one anywhere for that kind of money !
Bearmach where do i get that ?
Do you have a link ?
Mine is a 3.9 auto, does that make a difference ?

Auto does make a difference, due to it having extra oil coolant pipes on the left-hand side (if sat in drivers seat) for the gearbox. Maybe these can help but you would have to do without your landy for a couple of days.

Sweet !
Just rang them up £170 delivered, exchange
12 months warrenty,
