D1 Push button switches...

Something not working that uses a push switch on the dash ? Check the switch ! Over the years Ive had my disco, Ive replaced nearly all the push switchs because they stopped working. Latest one was this fooker that works the air re-circ on the blower/heater... simple job..? you'd think so but ..oh no ..no easy way of doing it !

Its been a few years since it worked and I found a switch for a couple of quid so thought id do it. Makes the thawing of ice on the inside of the windscreen a bit quicker on cold days !

Is that what it does? Been driving now since '83, driving Rovers since '87, and I've never used that switch for anything other than trying to keep pollen out in oilseed rape season. So it actually defrosts the windscreen faster? Excellent!

As it draws air from inside through the blower not from outside it may be a degree or two warmer,and I like to think it makes a difference after the time it took to do !
