d1 headlight bulbs

i have put 2 new h4 headlight bulbs in my d1 after 10 mins both main beam went off are there anymore fuses other than the 2 under dash ,tested bulbs and both still good and blue light comes on dash

Why did you replace the old headlights?

they werent very bright

Have you chec ked power is getting to the bulb both at low beam and at main?
It could be a relay.

Or corroded connections.

As the bulbs are new, this could be it, or, and bizarrely I have had this, the connections could be in the wrong place.
Anyway, if he gives em a good clean and checks with a MM we'll be able to help him further.

The three pronged connections are Notorious for overheating if you put a bulb in with a higher wattage,
The plastic melts but you can replace them with a ceramic connector if necessary,

s for reminding me. I never put any bulbs in other than normal ones but still had to replace them as you said.
Did it so long ago, forgot until you said it!!

My RRC had the same problem when the previous owner swapped to the newer bulbs.

fixed now thanks broken wire
