D1 abs light

Right when I bought my disco the abs light was on, reason behind this was the old owner has removed abs pump to fit a snorkel.
anyway I am nearing the end of my rebuild and will need the abs light out for it to pass a mot.
I know I could prob remove the bulb on the dash light but dose anyone know of any other way? Have used resistors before to put out airbag lights on other cars but never a disco. If anyone knows if that will work or any other tricks can you help me out?

If the pump has been removed then easy way is to remove the bulb. Without the pump the abs system will not work, so pipes must have been re plumbed to normal brakes. Point this out to the tester and all should be fine

Yeah everything has been re piped once the pump was removed.

I wired the bulb on mine across to the oil pressure bulb so it goes out with that, passed the MOT no problem as it came on and went off.

That sounds like you have hit the nail right on the head with that option. Will give it a go before i get it booked in for a mot.

glow plug light is better

As you don't have ABS why have a malfunction warning lamp. Just unplug the ecu and relays simple, and no additional wiring involved.
