Has anyone on here used CWS (Colin White Services) in Glastonbury? Deals with salvage 4x4 parts and sells a few Land Rovers too. Has a few tidy looking discos but before I go down for a look see thought I would see if anyone has had any dealings.

They can often be pricey especially when you consider that most of the vehicles have been insurance write offs. Beware the pricing is often plus vat too.

Worth a look though. I bought my Mach 5's from them a few years back for an absolute steal.

Thanks for the advice - he's 50 miles from me so could be worth a trip down for a look.

I've been in there twice I think, once for a set of wheels for a sierra (long time ago) and again more recently a year or two ago...

I've also heard they're not the cheapest, not that I can remember what I paid back then, but I do remember leaving thinking they were a grump old bunch!!

Just had a hardtop fitted to my 90 by them. They did the job on time, to a very good standard, and charged me £100 less in labour than they had quoted, because they were honest enough to say that the job had gone well. They then gave me a windscreen in exchange for the old cab and canvas.

In comparison with Walton Motors where I bought the truck, this was a revelation.

Well makes a change as they have reputation of expensive robbing bastards

How much did they charge for parts and labour then
