CV joint spline

hi mates!..ive a kinda silly question but its very important. My disco making some noise when i turn the wheel especially to the right ..like takk!..takk!...only can hear the noise when turning slowly to the right ahead or reverse. While turning at faster speed, i can hear a grinding or humming sound from the right wheel when turning to right. So i went i to local mechanic and ask him to check and he told me its the driveshaft.

So im not sure to change driveshaft or the cv joint would solve the problem??...of coz driveshafts is gonna wreck my wallet!...

Either way...i need a favour from all disco drivers if anybody had changed driveshafts or cv joint before...i wanna know how many spline does a 1996 tdi auto non abs have ..24 or 10??..i need to order the part correctly mates ...thanks a lot mates!!!

I think all 300tdis had 24 spline, just wait a little longer and you will get full conformation.
