Cuts out when warm

Hi all,
my 4.0l disco 2 keeps cutting out when warm, leave it for 20 minutes or so and it'll fire up again, running perfect and no warning lights on, any clues? Had this problem on a motor cycle before and it turned out to be the crank sensor.

I would suspect the EFI engine temp sensor as faulty.
Although the cutting out is sometimes associated with a bad misfire, something I've suffered with in the past with efi engine cars until the sensor was replaced.

Hi, the crank sensor is a good suspect cos they used to make tricks when they get warm... to rule it out you need a barbeque air blower with battery and when it cuts out cool the sensor with it for few minutes then try to start again, if it will start this way replace the sensor, on V8's even the MAF can cause such issues, it would be good to see if there aren't fault codes stored in the ECM though

Thanks guys, been out and had a quick look and noticed the coolant level was low although it wasn't running hot so I've topped it up and ran it round the block a couple of times then let it idle for about 15 minutes and it didn't cut out, not looked at the codes yet as its now raining but I'll have a look soon.
