Hi all,

I'm going to be in the Corwen area for a few days with the wife & kids from the 29th march onwards.
Can anyone suggest any lanes I could do, (nothing too scratchy)? I think I'll give the fabled carwash a miss at this time of year though, no snorkle you see.
Maybe if someone's planning a run over these few days, they wouldn't mind us tagging along.
More importantly, could anyone advise on any seasonal lanes that are closed at the moment?

Cheers.
Stu.

You can do the 'wayfarer', about 10-15 mins drive south of Corwen. Nice long lane. As you head towards Oswestry there are plenty to choose, most are marked byways if you buy a OS map for the area.

Do the Carwash as most of the time its only about 10" deep. There lots and lots. Splashy lane, White stones are easy. Lots more aswell.

Well in the tin on the top of the hill with all the message books and everything are a few pics of a peugeot 205 doing the lane, with a homemade snorkle on it !! He would have needed it too before they drained all the water troughs that you needed to pass through up until a couple of years ago.
