Hi Folks,

There's a pipe that runs from the hoses at the back of the heater to the front of the engine and into another hose, its 2 metal pipes joint side by side,

One of them is getting pretty badly corroded and needs to be replaced, does any of you know what these are called/named as there doesn't seem to be any mention of them in the manuals, and i can't find them on any of the parts online stores recommended on here ?

Cheers,

Methos.

take it to a main dealer and get the parts guy to look at it. Go back to the parts desk and get him to look it up on the computer. When he tells you how much, say you'll have to wait for the end of the month till payday, but can you have the part number so you know to order the right part when the time comes. Then look for it on the interweb.

Mine look pretty corroded too but i have just waxoiled them, it looks like a bitch of a job to change them so i think i will just keep an eye on them and wait till they get really bad.
They are on the rave cd and if you cant find them and do need to change let me know and i will get you the part no from the cd.
Hope this helps

Thanks Tatooboo,

I had a look on the Rave CD, but it listed it as a "Fuel" pipe, using the part number, lead me to one site that had it for £138 + VAT  but also said it was a fuel line...

Think I'll just do the same as you and keep an eye on it for now, and maybe see if i can pick one up from a scrapyard that's in better condition.

Mad was right i meant microcat...and the number is PEP103060 seems to retail at 120.00 of your hard earned plus the VAT.
Same as you have seen me thinks.
If it gets really bad you could go to equicar or similar, or see if you could boj one yourself i think that will be my option.

hi Guys
Got the same prob... suddenly burst on the nearside pipe.. so got the hacksaw out, removed the offending bit of pipe and extended the rubber hose. Been like it for a bit, but will have to get round to replacing it. See none of you have had the nerve to do the think... but then... horribly tucked away bit of pipe. I'll let you know when I've done it..
