Im losing water, its not in the oil or visible leaks, what ive noticed is on longish motorway journeys in this cold weather, ive had the heater on constant, high setting, i hate the cold and although im toasty im having to top up nearly everyday. Laymens and Diagrams would be very welcome please . Cheers Tony. :) OH its a V6 PETROL.

water pipe , head gasket or liners- seek and you will find

There is no smells damp patches , just water loss and its doin my feckin fizzer in now.
If its stood no loss at all, short journeys, it needs topping up about every 2 weeks, long hard motorway journeys top ups every other day.
The only other smelling damp leaky thing i had was the ex mrs and i got rid of that.

pop the engine cover off and have a look down into the vee...this is where the thermostat/housing lives and you will probably see a nice little pool of coolant. as this has nowhere to go it sits there evaporating with no signs of a leak....very commom on the kv6, just do a search...

As nick ses, remove the acustic cover (big black plastic thing on tol of yer engine) un look round everyfink. If you have the LR oats coolant it's illimunous. Also look all round the engine and get the rock cover underneath off.
