Middle pic is new thermostat housing two pin plug obviously mates into this - as fur other plug and socket - they must go in-line in the loom somewhere.
yu dint get no instructions wiv it then? I wud ask yo supplier. I will look fur ya tho.

The middle pic its a small coolant tank with a level sensor for inline installation with the main expansion tank. My supplier hasn't any idea where to connect the above cable. He just get the LR codes for me.

Thanks MHM ill be waiting for your help

I posted pics n stuff months ago. ffs Dearot - aint yu bin keepin up with the water loss/hgf/coolant issue freds?

did I miss something on those threads? :D

i though I saw one for MG...btw how much are they? please let us know when you figure it out on how to fit it :D

it has to be a break-in loom - but I havent gorra clue where it goes. I would have thought the local stealer would know - its either that - or look for a plug it will mate to in the engine compartment.

As the plug and socket look the same, you probably have to disconnect an existing one and connect these in. loking at the length of the supplied cable it may not be close. i will see if there is any info on RAVE

Just looked on RAVE, it shows 404 different connectors, none of them look like your one !!!
i can't believe I just sat here and scrolled through them all :-(
What light or warning does it bring on ?

Well, its an addtional kit which goes just under the expansion tank. According to Geroge_K (thread starter), it doesnt come with manual or something.

As it is an additional kit, I dont think it will show on RAVE unless maybe you have 2007 RAVE CD which I dont wheter its exist or not.

As the model number and year, its for all the model because it is like a universal kit or something.

Although its an additional kit, if it fits existing freelanders that 13 pin connector must be in the wiring loom somewhere. I just can't find it on any of RAVE connector drawings, if you can find out what light or alarm it brings on you might be able to find what part of the loom it has to connect into.

The problem is how should I know what light or alarm it brings on if I havent installed...I dont think it will be in RAVE like I said unless you have 2008 RAVe maybe since I think the kit was released to overcome/detect losing coolant problem. I dont know how to install it anyway since the cost of the manual for it AUD$190 from main stealer...

Hello guys,
I've searched through many coolant level sensor posts in this forum, but found no instructions on how to fit the kit. I have the coolant level sensor (PDA500360) and the wiring assy (YMQ501270). They both came without a manual.
Does anyone have a clue on how to install this?
Cheers!

That's the one to go for.

However there is a kit for pre or post 1a 1.8 if u have a pre 1a it includes a jumper loom connects below the engine ecu where there is a row of connectors (n/s). Also a new header tank and float sensor unit.
On post 1a u get a small loom from sensor to ecu where u add 2 wires to the main connector on the ecu. Both put the engine warning light on when the level drops to low ( does not store a fault just top up and light goes out)
Note for post 1a will need software update to work correctly normally dealer charge 1/2 hr

Bulletin Ln303-012 for wa to ya vin sensor kit part no yda500350 rhd or yda500400 lhd
Wire assembly upto 1a ymq501260
From 1a sensor kit pda500360 both lhd & rhd
Wire ymq501270
