Hi, I'm looking for the same. I keep hearing faultmate, T4 and blackbox but don't want to waste money on a simple OBD scanner.
Is there anything on the market as good as the dealer stuff for a reasonable price?

Another one searching for the holy grail:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I have been looking at the Hawkeye because it covers the whole range of one vehicle type, ie P38 or disco 1 or disco 2 etc. The Faultmate is tied to the VIN of the first vehicle it is connected to. As I am currently looking at buying a P38 I feel the Hawkeye is the best choice for me. The Faultmate seems to have more functions than the Hawkeye but I understand, from Bearmach, that a downloadable update is due out in March and that will add a more functions (like hevac)
Hope this helps.

You may discover that you need to buy extra leads (usually about 60-80 GBP i hear) to cover some other systems in a P38.

Also as you will note on the literature, there is no lead to connect it to the PC, in fact there is no other connector bar the vehicle one so you need to buy an extra lead for this and a Power supply as well. ;)

I should ask them to be specific and supply all prices and list all options if i were you ;-)

It Would actually be good if anyone knew the prices of all the optional bits and how much extra vehicles cost to add etc.

Also can anyone find or tell me where you can download the Hawkeye software updates? I have one that needs updating, and i never found where i can download anything for it from.

Did anyone on here update theirs that can help out?

Good work old chap anyone elses equipment you want to slag off Whilst your here. Whatever would RR owners do without your over priced profiteering..

Not slagging anything off, i wanted the EAS lead and asked if anyone could help with info about updating mine.

Did you update yours bmp42 ?

BBS I think you are attempting to mislead people here as you don't need a PC or an external power lead for the Hawkeye. Or you have no idea about your competitors products.
