Hi landy lovers

i am losing clutch fluid,so i have to bleed it about every 2 months or 600 miles, but i cant see where its leaking from, master or slave? how can i find out, no fluid near clutch pedel etc, so if your a landy detective this ones for you.

cheers plod

I'd try a slave as well, if she is fit and can fix landy's- no seriously sounds like a slave problem

next question, where is it and can a mumpty and a haines manual fix it (could i do it !)

cheers Pete

bolted to the gearbox:D have a look in busters guides it may have slave cylinder replacement

Its on your bell housing you will see a flexi pipe going to it, and yes anyone can do it ,the worst bit is laying on the ground go on pete you know you can

brake pipe spanner worth while and single hex sockets

right update, i have felt the back of the clutch pedel, its slightly wet, but feels a bit like water, could this be the master cylinder sorry for the stupid questions, wots it like todo??

cheers plod

yes if its brake fluid and not water 2 ways of doing it as is at moment but you will need some one to hold bottom securing bolt for cylinder inside car up near pedal ,or undo 6 x bolt in footwell holding pedal box on and remove box to swap cylinder off the car

no hands still as soft as babys bum! - better do some more work on it then!!

cheers
pete
When after using Swarfega, washing up liquid and washing powder, your hands are still covered in oily gunge that won't go away, and you still haven't done everything that's got to be done on your Landy, when your seat cover tells you to sod off and not go anywhere near her with 'those hands', you will have passed the first hurdle of becoming a fully fedged Landy-man!
