Alive Tuning custom remap. Alive have dealers around the country who can send an electronic copy the map to Gary at Alive and he can send back the map which the dealer can then put on the engine ECU.

Durham4x4 are one. Another chap near Inverness. I can do it as well.

I had my last TD5 done by Mike at Dynachip and I thought it was a first class job.

He comes to you, ascertains your goals and does his best with your vehicle to meet them.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend hime to anyone. I will certainly be doing the same on my 'new' td5.

Cheers
Dave

Mike at Dynachip did mine about 5 weeks ago, Td5 auto 102k miles. Love it to bits even more now.

Im no good at maths and the like but full tank got me about 410 miles but some of this was up and down hills around Devon and some of it a run down the M5 to and from devon, going was slow and mostly sitting still, coming back was 75 - 80mph all the ay none stop, the rest was just lovin it on the loud pedal as she certainly wants to GO ! now just cant help myself sometimes. refueled about 15 miles after light came on so it may have been better.

On the whole you will suprised how swift 2.5 tonnes of ES love machine can move after a remap. (love machine ??, must be going mad)

Hi

Remapped my TD5 Defender couple of years ago - £200.

Boosts Mid Range Torque and BHP - and if you don't thrash it will increase mpg to 31-33!!

Oops sorry nearly forgot - Mike at Dynachip (he did my RR L322 and Renault Master Campervan too - brilliant!!

You must have been on the noisey pedal all the time.

I got 550 miles going to Billing and back sitting around 70 just about all the way and the orange light hadn't come on, only filled up cause the fuel was a good price.

Well it was a very none scientific way of just saying I bloody love it now its remapped, really should see if driven properly what she would do to the full tank but rarely gets good long trips to find out.

My hols in Devon (Ilfracombe) took in all the crawler lanes where I did see at times how much i could over take, caravans and slow lorries before it ran out, funny watching Audis and BMW trying to keep up as they were desperate to get past me, add to this Porlock hill, Lynton and Lynmouth its just all bloody hills round that area of the country, most of it I was fully loaded with roof box and family as well.

In short....
If you havnt done a remap already..

DO ONE !!
