I had terrible vibes from the front prop u/j knackered stuck on a aftermarket job at £14 inc postage just as bad front shaft off no vibes so is u/j quality an issue

You can get cheap UJs that won't last long but I can't imagine they would be so cheap as to cause vibration as soon as fitted. Unless you've fitted them wrong.

I assume you meant that the vibration goes when you take the prop off?
 
you can get gkns for that price from ebay.

my thoughts

worth checking the flange box side, play in the sliding joint and if you still have a metal patch on the prop, as i'm pretty sure they weld them on to balance them.

also check to see if someone has stripped it apart before as they might have put it back together out of phase. the joints on each end should not be inline with each other, but out.
 
Yes no vibes when front shaft is off, and slide has a master on it wont go in wrong, no disenable play in drive flanges box or diff weird one

hmm i could have sworn you could adjust the phase by changing spline position. oh well.
 
Have a look at the prop and see if the weight has fallen off. There will usually be a cleaner bit or a rustier bit where the weight may have been.
