changing the front trailing arm bushes on a p38

hi can anybody give me some advice how to change the front trailing arm bushes on me p38 do i have to support the axcel if i am doing one at a time has the vechical got to be jacked up from the chasis as well plz need some advice lads plz
 
sorry not done it before, but look for the rave workshop manual on this site, you can down load it and read at your leasure. Good luck
 
I did mine for Mot 2 or 3 months ago

they can be a pig to remove, we cut the bolts with a disc cutter and had to use the oxy kit to burn the old bushes out even using a press

The new poly ones fitted easy, bought split ones from famous four, fit in with soap and hardly needed the press to put them in

Good luck, make sure you do front and back

top tip take the arms off motor makes it a lot easier

thanks lads for all of ur replies sorry i thought they was trailing arms :crazy:i didnt know they was called radis arms once again thank u every one . i let u know how ive got on wen i have done them ..:D
 
You need a special tool to insert the nylon bushing.
today we have done the radis arm bushes and changed the drop links and new antiroll bar bushes big thanks to nath 5436 for all is help with it cheers mate .....appreciated thanks again but it was a mission:D
