change engine

Hi
I have plans for changing my td5-99 engine to a td5-03. What do I have to change? Just the engine or a lots of other parts.

Some of the coolant plumbing is different as the EGR has a cooler fitted on the later engines. Fuel cooler has been updated to a simpler design. Fuel pressure regulator is different as later engines have external spill pipe. The older injectors can not be used in the later engines so make sure your replacement engine comes with injectors. You will have to recode the injectors on the new engine to the existing ECU. Other than that its a straight swap. Its exactly what I did when my old 10p went bang.

I'd also drop the sump off and make sure the oil pump sprocket bolt has been fitted with thread lock whilst the engine is out.
