mates freelanders front drivers side door wont work on central locking, passenger side as never worked.
all it says in paynes book is ccu controls it.
with door card off feels like unit in door is clicking could it just be he needs to replace that bit or is it likely to be ccu?

cheers

Get your multimeter out.

If you get a pulse of voltage on lock and the same thing with opposite polarity for unlock. Then it sounds like faulty latches.

If you dont, check the wiring etc, if its ok, suspect ccu

With tratters not having central locking* then I can understand why the OP had to ask this question.

* or anything electrical

Your mate will more than likely find that it's the door solenoid that's faulty, as mine is on the drivers door. It locks fine, but won't unlock. When I next have 80 sheets I'll get one :screaming_bug_eye_f
