Cd changer

Hi I've got a problem with my cd changer on my d2 2001 it's a alpine unit I've got 3 cd's in the magazine it's been working fine then one evening I went to use the cd and "cd error" came up on the head unit so I tried to eject the magazine I heard the mechanism but it did not eject fully I can see the magazine but it will not eject
I've tried gently prising it out to no avail I've tried repeatedly pressing the eject button nothing
I've done a search and read several threads and tried different things I was going to. Remove the cd changer to try and take it apart but I can't get it out I've removed the 4 bolts from the brackets on the floor but can't lift it up high enough to get it off the threads because before it hits a cross member on the seat base !!

Could you not take the seat out this is how I accessed mine.

Is that my only option ? Dam I don't have a torx socket to fit

The handbook states remove before deep wading" so shouldn't be a problem. Mine wasn't I undid the fixings moving the seat backwards and forwards to get access, if IIRC it came out backwards so the seat was fully forward, anyway what ever end it came out I just had unpluged it.
If you can raise the seat that may help.

Ok, its just something you can do with electric seats, back to plan B then, remove the seat :frown:

Have you tried slipping a credit card or similar between cartridge and changer

Yep tries Allen keys credit cards screwdriver etc etc
