CB Radio advice,

yeah I have seen about channel 16 so I will be using that as mine and my mates channel so if any of you spot us you can say hello if you want.
isn't 19 the emergency channel?
talking about emergency channel I know there is a local copper or ex-copper who has coverage of pretty much all the airwave communication of the local area but what is meant by emergency channel is this the one the blue lights use or monitor and when the mobile has no signal is there any point of crying on the emergency channel? would anyone be likely to hear?

in years gone by on am rigs channel 9 used to be the emergency channel its only ok if someone is listening personaly if i had phone signal i would rely on my phone

Of course mobile comes first but just wondered if the emergency channel actually is for emergency
