Hi,
Used to be involved with the CB thing back in the 80's. Was told a landie would need to be earthed to the chassis to produce an effective ground plane.
Chucked my old Mustang cb2000 due to u/s output invested in a new rig/twig and guess what, a swr of 1.1 screwed to Birmabrite on the roof.
The moral, do not beleive all you see/hear or are told.:blabla:
