Can some one please post an engine bay picture using Safari snorkel

hi folks, I currently have a southdown snorkel on my 300tdi going straight to turbo with no airbox, I want to fit a safari snorkel but do I need an airbox to do the job properly?

as im worried the pipe work may fowl on the 2nd battery

If u buy the proper snorkel and kit then a blank is provided to fit over this.

It's difficult to tell in the picture but the original front opening has a blanking plug in. The air box is fed through the black tube on the right.

Thank you. So I assume a new opening has to be made in the side of the O/e airbox?

Yes. Have a look at Part No 20.

I would stop using it till you have an airbox/filter fitted. Just think back to the last air filter you changed. Imagine all that crap from the filter inside your engine :screaming_bug_eye_f

There is an air filter on top of the Southdown snorkel bud.

I've looked on the inner wing & there's nothing there so it hasn't
