I want to thank you all.. I think you have opened my mind too.. not only what is available.. but what i saw wrong!

To be clear, I am ol, but it has been many years in school. When i was young, I was given a BMW 3series. I used it on and offf, but i have been in school with no use of a car!

Thus why I am asking.. and why i have a background as i explain

the rr sport seems to have low wheelbase, is this true?

No it is the same as a Disco 3. Same engine etc. Only you can't get them with a manual gearbox

I have a BMW engined one, first Landy I’ve had with no leaks.

I can see how things would differ in Costa Rica. Over here Freelanders are far more reliable, with you they are not HD enough I should imagine?
I noticed your car wash looks bit nicer than the regular UK ones ;)
Right in all points :D
I had an early 95 BMW manual P38 for near on 7 years..
This is how I washed it in France

Freelander 1 stopped production int 2006. Freelander 2 replaced it but stopped production int October 2014. Disco sport kind of took over with production starting early 2015. Evoque is a range rover and started production int 2009. Disco sport and evoque are still int production. All of these have roughly the same ground clearance and independent suspension, no low box. The auto's are betterer oft road as yer dun't need to slip the clutch. The auto sorts out drive for yer.

If doing a lot of motorway trips then a Freelander 2 would be better than a Freelander 1. It is quieter on road and nicer to drive. A top spec FL2 metropolis from a main dealer is about £20k ont reasonable miles. Plenty of variation int price and model below this. FL2 will go oft road and is less complex than a disco 3, disco 4, range rover sport and above.

FL2 shape is more practicle for carrying 6 cows in the back as its an estate with level roof as opposed to the evoque which is a bit lower overall and the roof slopes at the rear. Disco sport slopes at the rear a bit. As they're newer the prices are higher. FL2 technology is tried and tested and is supported buy several diagnostics which the disco sport aint.
